WORKSPACE SECURITY

Hosted access: The app opens directly without ChatGPT sign-in. The app URL is public; document files stay on your device.

Device privacy lock: A passkey verifies your device before the interface opens. Your operating system chooses Face ID, Touch ID, a device code, or another supported authenticator.

This device lock is checked in your browser. It is not server-side passkey authentication and does not encrypt saved scans. There is currently no server-side owner authentication.

Passkey registration metadata is stored in this browser. Set up each browser separately. Clearing browser data resets this device lock and can also remove locally saved scans. No biometric data is read or stored by PDF Studio.

Your private PDF workspace

Open and export files locally. PDF engines and fonts are hosted with this app; document bytes are never sent to a document service.

Text: type in the right panel, then click the page. Standard PDF fonts support Latin characters. Arabic and other scripts need a future embedded-font implementation.

Highlight: drag over an area. Draw / Sign: draw with a mouse or finger. Image: choose PNG/JPEG, set its width, then click the page.

Select: click an addition to select it; drag it to move, edit text in the panel, or delete it. Undo/redo covers page operations and additions.

Existing text editing, OCR, fillable-form editing, secure redaction and password-protected PDFs are not supported in this version. Flattening/export may invalidate existing digital signatures.

Use Download PDF before closing. No automatic document saving. The app opens without login. Documents are processed locally. SCANNED DOCS stores originals in this browser on this device; clearing browser data removes them. Download backups to keep them elsewhere.
